Adding a fun punchy color keeps fall feeling hopeful and fresh!
Fall is often associated with deep, earthy colors, but that doesn’t mean your home has to feel dark or heavy!
One of my favorite ways to bring fall color into a space is to pair a traditional autumn shade with something lighter, fresher, or a little unexpected. A punch of tomato red can make a room feel joyful and alive. Brown feels softer beside apricot. Mossy green gets a fresh perspective when paired with seafoam. Even rich burgundy takes on a new energy alongside lavender.
The general rule is simple: start with a classic fall color, then add a lighter, less muddy shade.
The contrast keeps the palette feeling warm and seasonal while still hopeful, colorful, and fresh.
Below, I’m sharing some color pairings for fall. Each piece celebrates the season in a way that feels vibrant, uplifting, and anything but heavy.
